Businesses needed to take part in free business support group
New and young businesses are being
invited to take part in a business support group being set up by
Broadland District Council’s Business Forum. This will be the second
group to be set up after the success of the first group which has
been running for 4 months now.
"I have found our Business Support meetings very useful." Said Sue
Cudby, who is currently a member of the pilot business support
group. "The group is small enough for everyone to put forward ideas
and experiences and diverse enough for us all to learn something
from each other. I gain something from each meeting which benefits
my business and makes me more successful."
The group will have six people who
run their own businesses in the Broadland area, and will meet on a
monthly basis for six months. After these six months it is hoped the
group will keep in touch and use their time together to help
progress their businesses in the future. There is also the
opportunity for them to join another group for six months if they
feel they would benefit.
Stuart Clancy, Portfolio Holder
for Economic Development said "Starting your own business can be an
exciting, rewarding and challenging time, and having support from
people in a similar situation can really help you move forward. Some
people feel isolated by working on their own, or don’t know who to
turn to for advice and these business support groups can really make
a difference to you and your business."
People will be able to learn new
approaches and lose that often felt feeling of isolation. You can
link up with people in a similar situation, share your experiences
and help to grow your business.
Engage with Business will be
leading and providing this service for Broadland District Council
but to find out more about this unique opportunity call the Business
Support Administrator on 01603 430487 or email business@broadland.gov.uk.
