DRAFT RECORD OF MEETING OF SALHOUSE VILLAGE PARISH PLAN STEERING GROUP Record of Meeting of Salhouse Village Parish Plan Steering Group held at Jubilee Hall on Tuesday 22nd May, 2007. The meeting commenced at 7.25pm. Present: Pat Gallanders (PG) Chairwoman, Malcolm Prestwood (MP) Vice Chair, Andrew Musgrave (AM) Treasurer, Julie Bendy (JB) Secretary, Robert Cooper (RC), Kerry Robbins (KR).Jenny Rose (JR) Gerry Crombie (GC), Michael Jordan (MJ) Displays. Apologies for Absence: Tim Nelson (TR), Ann Prestwood (AP), Colin McCormick (CMcC). APPROVAL OF MINUTES: ACTIONS ARISING: Hours and Absences. Members are reminded to give a record of their itemised PP hours to AM. PG also requested WG Chairs to provide a record of co-opted members’ hours. Please continue to notify holiday information to MP/PG. Display Boards. BDC can provide up to 36 display boards therefore supplies of extra boards will be adjusted accordingly. Collection of boards: See Action. A flip chart will be used for comments and explanations if available. PP Report Layout Research. This is an ongoing action as members have not had time to research plans. Questions 50/89/90 Comments. These should be incorporated into individual WG displays as appropriate. Summaries. Please send to MP for incorporation into display printouts. Cartoons. Ideas for cartoons were discussed. MJ showed a cartoon, drawn by his daughter, for the R & L WG display. A number of other subjects were offered for MJ to pass on to his daughter. Prize Draw. Some prizes are still outstanding. AM suggested contacting Matthew Thwaites, Barnes Brinkscraft, re Peter Tallowin’s donation. KR to contact 1st Impressions. Procurement of Materials. This is ongoing. Catering. Arrangements with WI for this are ongoing. Sandwiches for SG members’ lunches will be arranged later. Actions: OPEN DAY WG and Displays. WG Chairs discussed modifications to their individual question displays. The final lists of questions, summaries and comments must be sent to MP by Tuesday 29th May. GC will look again at the Adult Education comments in the context of the increased charges. Help may be needed with a map of villagers’ proposals for an extended Conservation Area. JB to ask Richard Bendy to help. It might be necessary to concentrate on the main suggestions only. Some questions will overlap between WGs. Q 78 will appear on both LLE and THVI. JB will send comments re Sailing at Broad to AM. MP has researched the efficiency of Carbon Monoxide Alarms and will investigate the possibility of having a supply for purchase on the day but this might prove difficult. Some questions may have ‘don’t knows’ highlighted in red to emphasise the large numbers replying in that way. A meeting with Hazel Ellard has been arranged for Wed 30th May, 7pm, in Jubilee Hall. Compass Printout. Abusive remarks and individual names will be deleted prior to display. It was suggested that a disclaimer should be displayed stating that SPPSG does not necessarily agree with the published comments. displays. Publicity. PG will move the
banner to Jubilee Hall tomorrow, 23rd, and a poster will be produced
for display on the notice board. Ideas were sought for door to door flyers which
will be distributed to members next week for delivery the following week. It was
suggested that, to introduce some humour, a cartoon elephant could be re-used on
the flyer. Actions: Prize Draw. This will take place at 2pm, with participation from villagers. A notice will be displayed acknowledging the donors’ generosity. Actions: FINANCE REPORT.
